Description

Learn how the "Red Flags" you see every day in your office can enhance the assessment of your client's overall health. We need a new approach for the diagnosis and treatment of the oral infections that cause periodontal disease and systemic health concerns. The dental office should look for red flags as they are risk factors of systemic disease such as sleep apnea, dementia, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, etc. We will also discuss how and why we need to collaborate with other healthcare professionals when we find Red Flags. We can use technology, different types of biofilm analysis and medical tests to diagnose, inform and motivate your clients to get healthy.

Objectives

  1. Identifying red flags and risk factors in the treatment room.
  2. Explore the scientific basis for how systemic diseases are related to high-risk periodontal pathogens.
  3. Understand when to collaborate with other health practitioners.
  4. Review the different materials for the digital workflow in the aesthetic area.
